We are committed to ensuring high levels of learning for all students to build a strong foundation.

Allemands Elementary School, home of the Catfish, offers an education for all students, providing them with opportunities to reach their full potential by participating in numerous academic programs and the arts. The school is located forty miles from New Orleans and services students residing in the Des Allemands, Bayou Gauche, Paradis, and Boutte areas on the west bank of St. Charles Parish.

St. Charles Parish Public Schools Celebrates 2026 Staff Achievement Award Winners

In a celebration of dedication, service, and the strong sense of belonging felt across St. Charles Parish Public Schools, the district proudly honored its 2026 Staff Achievement Award winners at a heartfelt ceremony on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The annual Staff Achievement Awards Ceremony recognizes eight exemplary employees who represent the very best of SCPPS in categories spanning Child Nutrition Services, Physical Plant Services, Professional/Technical, School Administrative Support, School Support, Secretarial/Clerical, Specialist Educator, and Transportation. These employees were selected from 172 nomination forms this year submitted by colleagues, parents, and community members.

Allemands Elementary Paraeducator Uses Trauma Response Training to Help Injured Child

St. Charles Parish Public Schools is proud to recognize the actions of a dedicated paraeducator whose quick thinking and trauma response training helped a child in need on Easter Sunday.
